Here is a 4-minute video from our Thai partners (KidLead Asia) that introduces the curriculum well.

The impetus of all LeadYoung training curricula focuses on developing organizational leadership skills; what it takes to lead a team. At the same time, we emphasize 16 of the most sought-after qualities people look for in their leaders. These should not be confused with character and self-esteem programs that use the same terms but focus on all children/youth.

Each color represents 1 of 4 stand-alone modules (see the curriculum wheel). Each LeadNow & LeadWell module consists of 1 semester of content, based on eight 90-minute or sixteen 45-minute sessions, all highly scripted. Although trainer certification is available and recommended, it is not required. Pace is somewhat flexible, depending on the format and age group

Watch this video to see what a club in Canada said about LeadYoung Training (KidLead):

The 16 qualities were selected as a foundational set, based on a compilation of research, including the Center for Creative Leadership, Harvard Business Review, and a literature review by Dr. Alan Nelson.

Among the 16 qualities, 8 reflect character issues and 8 competency skills. Character qualities divide into two sub-themes: attitudes and values. Competency skills divide into two sub-themes: relationships and decisions. Following are the four value, attitude, relationship, and decision sub-themes in the respective module colors. Definitions vary somewhat per age group. Remember that the themes reflect how these specifically look in the context of leading.
